Success Story - Jeroen Alberts

Jeroen and crew pose in front of their helicopter

Who is your current employer?

Abu Dhabi Aviation, Abu Dhabi, UAE

What kind of helicopter(s) do you fly?

Bell 212/412

Is there anything particularly challenging or unique about your current job?

Intense offshore flying, with up to 60 landings per day. I have also been deployed to Yemen, Afghanistan and Ethiopia.

Jeroen Alberts - Helicopter PilotDo you feel Mauna Loa adequately trained you for the real world?

Yes. However the step into multi crew, medium twin helicopters without having flown single turbine helo's was a bit of a challenge... Nevertheless I got hired as a captain 4 years after I started my PPL.

What did you like best about your MLH training experience?

The flexibility of the schedule and of all employees which allowed me to complete the program in 9 Months.

Would you recommend Mauna Loa Helicopters to others?

Certainly. The training environment is great and there is hardly any down time due to bad weather, Unlike on the main land... Furthermore there is designated examiners on site which minimizes the waiting time for a check ride date.
