Success Story - Matt Schenk

Matt Schenk stands before one of Liberty Helicopters' AS350s in New York City

Who is your current employer?

Liberty Helicopters. We run tours and executive charters in NYC

What kind of helicopter(s) do you fly?

AStar 350

Is there anything particularly challenging or unique about your current job?

Flying tours in NYC is very challenging. The airspace is known to be the busiest in the world. This is especially true when other tour operators are flying.

Do you feel MLH adequately trained you for the real world?

Absolutely. They were all very professional and gave me a global outcome. MLH offers a variety of flying experience of altitude and terrains. For busy air space training we can go to the HNL base. There I learned to watch for myself and over my students. The photo shoots I did in HNL prepared well me for NYC.

What did you like best about your MLH experience?

The professionalism and friendliness. It feels like a family run space. I could talk freely to my superiors (Noah, Cara) anytime. During my whole training, there was never a problem.

Would you recommend MLH to others?

For sure. The school gives you the tools to make the next career step.

Any other comments?

If you are going for a helicopter training, why not do it in a great school that feels like family and in a amazing place such as Hawaii.
